Tell me ten words that you’d use to describe the world to people

Posted in Uncategorized by trishbendix on August 25, 2008

Two films I’ve seen recently and highly recommend.

What We Do Is Secret

In 10 words or less: Germs are Los Angeles punk rock. Darby Crash was queer?

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

In 10 words or less: Rebecca Hall: Underrated. Scarlett can’t improv. Penelope Cruz is better funny.

Damn, that was 11. It really deserves more.

oh god, she’s (sj) so horrible at the improv. I really think I could be more convincing. Stella would be more convincing.I still don’t understand how Woody Allen didn’t realize she was so cheesy/unbelievable in so many scenes–she really should just stick to the memorized script. fo sho.

Not many things prompt me to comment on blogs (of which I enjoy reading yours a lot on AE), but… that’s an Idlewild reference, isn’t it?! They were my first teenage musical love affair.

Yes, I love Idlewild as well! One of my favorite bands. Unfortunately, they haven’t been coming to the States so much lately so it’s been a couple of years since I’ve seen them live. You must fare better, being in the UK!

omg, trish — i so agree with you that rebecca hall is vastly underrated in this film! i love the film and i love her performance – but i rarely read her getting the props she deserves. thanks for acknowledging her 🙂
