Do you feel the same, am I only dreaming?

Day Two: Beth escorted us around town and we had lunch at a pub called Moriarty’s. Jamie (who I started to refer to as the Sassy Traveler) rated the food a 3.5 out of 5. “They could have had wheat buns,” she said. I assume she also gave it a middle-of-the-road score based on our cheesy waiter (Thomas, not Tom.)

We went to a bar called Tattooed Mom that I fell in love with instantly. They have craft days on Sundays, so Jamie and I collaborated on a thank you gift for McKenna. Beth made her friend Rafiq a beautiful piece of artwork, and we drank mimosas. Jamie said she was having “mimos” fun. Then we cut her off.

I think I loved the bar because it didn’t feel like a bar at all. The walls are painted a seafoam green like my bedroom, in fact, and the decor of tiny skeletons and the marshmallow man from Ghostbusters made it feel like a hang-out, not a dirty dive like most places. Unfortunately, crafting was cut a little short due to the Easter Zombie Crawl preparations the bar was making, but we still were able to create amazing masterpieces from construction paper and puffy paint.

We were then introduced to B&M’s friends who live down the street from McKenna: Arizona, Delice, and Rachel. They are also pals with Jay McCarroll, season 1 winner of “Project Runway,” who lives across from them. Arizona is working on a film with Luke Wilson at the moment, so they claim they will get him over to their place and smoke pot with him until he agrees to make out with all of their friends. Beth signed up to be among them. (McKenna later told me that Amy Sedaris is part of the film as well. I’d sign up to make out with her.)

When McKenna’s shows were over for the evening, we had a late dinner at the Royal Tavern, which had extremely good food, especially for a bar. Sleep was so good after devouring it all.
